Artist's Comments

The head is of the Hammerhead Bat, of which there are very few good reference pictures of, even in all my books. Forgive any inaccuracies. The enormous snout is for mating calls, loud honking noises that fill up the forest. Underwater, I guess they'd sound more like whales.

FourYong won this in the Hybrid Contest. Cephalopods and bats definitely won out.

As usual, prints available upon Noted request.

PS: I would have put this in Drawings>Fantasy, but the subsection for that was only Animal Characters instead of Animal Designs, and this really isn't a character. : p

It can also double as a new Web Creature design.

It's like the moose of the bat world. :D

Wouldn't that be creepy to see while swimming.

Your bat awesomeness knows no bounds. Wonderful integration to make the hybrid.

Thanks, that made my day even better.

... Because throwing things is fun. Especially when they're glowing and have tentacles.
