Spirit Bats Carving by WingedSonar Spirit Bats Carving by WingedSonar
Two little bat spirits swirling around one another amidst the stars. Probably the final installation of my carvings this year.

DA, please make a section specifically for carvings, regardless of surface material. This does not belong in Culinary Arts. Note: This is a non-edible, non-culinary artwork.

Thanks! I wanted to vectorize it so people would have a flat reference, but I just haven't found the time to return to it. Truth be told, it's only impressive in the dark.

I was thinking of rendering it in Illustrator, so that's a nice bit of encouragement. :)

Great job! This is so simple, yet beautiful. I also really like that I cannot see the hole where the candle goes. Did you put that in the bottom instead of the top?

Yeah. :)
I used to do top because I only thought of candles. Low-heat lights mean I don't have to butcher the design. Now I do either back or beneath.

I bit into a raw pumpkin last year. It was no good.
